Our client is a well-established and profitable leading supplier to the food sector.  Seeking an Weighbridge Supervisor supporting the Operations Management team.  This company is a market leader and will provide a very successful career path.  Salary: €40k – €45K plus excellent benefits.  Cork (South West)

The Role

• Dual responsibility of operating weighbridge, reporting to and supporting the Operations Management Team in the running of the site.
• Co-ordinate customer loading and oversee the shipment discharge, acting as the senior person on site as required.
• Managing a team of technical and operational members and also contractors
• Key point of contact for all stakeholders and internal departments
• Ensure high standard of housekeeping standards are maintained including the upkeep of the weighbridge facilities.
• Weigh lorries in and out at our weighbridges
  Handle customer and in-house queries
  Direct the drivers to collection and delivery points
• Reconciliation of shipment discharge figures and ensure accuracy of details in AX and weighbridge systems

The Candidate

• Operations supervisory experience essential ideally in the area of engineering / food science
• Third level relevant qualification desirable
• People management experience
• A track record of managing change and driving continuous improvement
• Experience of implementing and monitoring policies including H&S, environment and quality
• An understanding of legislative requirements associated with H&S, environment and quality
• Strong computer literacy essential
• Weighbridge experience would be an advantage
• Engineering aptitude
