Senior IT Systems Administrator – Dublin 10

Our clients, a large Irish Distribution business based in Dublin 10, are looking to recruit an IT Senior Systems Administrator to join their team.

They are seeking an experienced systems administrator who is eager to grow their technological skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow and add value to a business.

The Role:

• To maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, modern email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
• Develop a dependable IT infrastructure and network that provides continuous business operations
• Improve existing infrastructure and processes
• Project Manage internal and external partners to deliver projects
• Work with modern systems and infrastructure including Office 365, VMware, Salesforce, Marketing cloud and others
• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
• Monitor Infrastructure and network health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
• Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups Required

The Person:

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT senior engineer or IT administration role
• Strong experience in Cyber security
• Experience of Network fundamentals and HTTP traffic
• Strong Admin Experience in MS Office 365
• Experience working with Microsoft operating systems
• Experience working with Virtualisation – VMware (vSphere) or similar
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft Professional certifications an advantage
• Experience in project management
• Experience working with Salesforce
• Experience with Firewalls and Switches
