Senior Credit Control D22

Our client is based in D22 and is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Control Specialist to join their Finance team. The Senior Credit Control Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the credit and collections processes. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Hours are 9 – 5pm Mon – Thursday and 9 – 2pm each Friday.  Hybrid options (2 days wfh and 3 from office)

Salary is €38 – €48k depending on experience plus pension and healthcare package.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Analysis: Assess and evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
2. Collections Management: Effectively manage and prioritize a portfolio of accounts, monitor overdue payments, and take appropriate actions to collect outstanding debts in a timely manner.
3. Payment Negotiation: Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers when necessary, while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
4. Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer disputes or discrepancies related to invoicing or payments promptly and professionally.
5. Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment reminders, and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
6. Credit Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
7. Reporting: Generate and analyze credit and collections reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve the credit control process.
8. Legal Support: Collaborate with legal counsel and outside agencies when necessary to initiate legal actions or collections efforts.
9. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
10. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, sales department, and other relevant departments to resolve issues and improve overall credit control processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control or collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and collections strategies.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
