Sales Manager / Food Packaging 

Our client is seeking a Sales Manager job with a focus on capital equipment involves leading and overseeing a sales team responsible for selling large, expensive, and often complex machinery or equipment used in various industries. Capital equipment refers to long-lasting assets used in production or operations that typically require a significant investment.  Salary: €80K – €85K with excellent bonus, car and benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sales Team Leadership: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives. This includes setting sales targets, providing guidance, coaching, and motivating the team to achieve their objectives.
• Sales Strategy Development: You’ll work with upper management to develop sales strategies and business plans to promote the company’s capital equipment offerings. This may involve identifying target industries, exploring new markets, and devising competitive pricing structures.
• Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients is crucial. Understanding their needs, providing excellent customer service, and addressing concerns are essential aspects of this role.
• Sales Performance Analysis: Analyzing sales data and performance metrics is vital to track progress towards goals. You’ll use this information to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize sales efforts.
• Product Knowledge and Training: Being well-versed in the technical aspects of capital equipment is essential to effectively communicate its features and benefits to customers. You’ll also need to provide training to the sales team to ensure they have the necessary product knowledge.
• Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Delivering compelling sales presentations and participating in negotiations with clients to close deals will be a significant part of your role.
• Market Research: Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands is critical for making informed business decisions and staying competitive.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: You’ll collaborate with the finance department to create sales budgets and forecasts, aligning them with the overall company objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is often required.
• Several years of sales experience in the food packaging capital equipment industry or a related sector is necessary.
• Strong leadership and team management skills are essential to guide and support the sales team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal stakeholders confidently.
• Analytical abilities to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Knowledge of the specific industry and the technical aspects of capital equipment is advantageous.
• Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
