Our client is a long-established hugely successful food company seeking a Sales Manager to join their commercial team.  Leading the Area Sales Team and working closely with the Commercial Director.  Salary: €65K – €80, car and benefits.

The Role:

• To manage a team of Area Managers supported by the Commercial Director covering all areas of ROI except for Munster. To support, motivate and manage each of the Area Managers in the carrying out of their responsibilities.
  • Overall sales for the areas
  • Appointment of and caliber of new distributors
  • Sales driving initiatives
  • Distributor communication
  • Helping the company achieve KPI’S for the year
• Will be responsible for building and motivating a high performing team, the delivery of commercial KPIs and to provide authentic leadership through example, ownership, personal integrity, and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the organisation.
• Promote and instill a continual Improvement ethos
• Support company processes to include planning, budgets, costing, new product development etc.
• Managing sales and costs within budget.
• Success measures – overall sales, market share of the baked goods category, nett receipts and in store profile
• Communicate across departments and teams to ensure consistent approach.
• KPI achievement
• Identify areas for continual cost improvement

• Strong sales and people management
• FMCG industry understanding and experience
• Third level qualification an advantage
• Excellent communication, negotiation and professional skillset
• Strong presentation, IT skills and very comfortable with figures
