Sales Assistant / Trade Decorating – Dublin Northside                  E8203

Our client is very prestigious decorating brand seeking a Sales Assistant to join their team.  This is a very customer service focused driven role maximising sales and market share.  Salary: €30K plus benefits. 

The role:

• The speedy service of customers by accurate, speedy order picking
• Order picking of collection orders
• Processing orders and on request
• Speedy production of accurate invoices/cash dockets as required.
• Answering general technical queries for customers – in person or on the phone
• Maintaining a special service for special key customers as defined by the trade team

• The rapid and continuous re supply of shelving and dump stacks
• Ensuring that all areas of the Decorating Centre are kept clean and cleaned on a daily basis, this includes: aisles, porch, counter tops, display stands, equipment, shelving, office, toilet, car park etc.
• Ordering resale items – ensuring proper display and stock control
• Ensuring that appearance/workwear/safety equipment is the appropriate standard.
• Ensuring that the Decorating Centre is open and closed ‘on time’ each day
• Ensuring that all documentation and cash is correctly accounted for and reconciled
• Ensuring that correct procedures are carried out for staff purchases

The Candidate: 

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Sales/merchandising experience in retail or direct to trade role (or equivalent)
• Excellent verbal & written English required.
• Operational Experience
• Flexible, committed and organized approach to work
• Good knowledge of all areas of the business and preferably an understanding decorating centres or experience in a retail sales environment.
