Our clients, a multi-national firm supply Engineering support to manufacturing companies, are looking a Process or project engineer to join their Engineering team based in  Co. Kildare. The role would suit a person with a background in project execution (process plant design) for the beverage, chemical, dairy, food, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.

The Role:

• The preparation of process flow diagrams, mass balance and P&IDs
• Drafting process descriptions and functional descriptions
• Performing process calculations and making specifications for equipment and fittings
• The technical checking of design specifications and documentation
• Calculating and preparing quotations
• Translating customer requirements into process-technical solutions
• The commissioning of process installations
• Developing process technology issues in the area of innovation and sustainability
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and customers
• Independent execution of small / medium-sized projects

The Person:

• 5+ years’ experience.
• Familiar with aseptic/hygienic process industry design practices, codes, standards, and specifications including CIP design principles.
• Familiar with the development of PFD’s and P&ID’s
• Familiar with common process equipment (hygienic valves, instruments, pumps, heat exchangers, centrifuges, homogenisers.
• Familiar with process control systems.
• Familiar with functional safety design for Process Plants and Machinery (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA)
• Familiar with project execution including planning, design, budgeting, purchasing, installation, validation, and commissioning activities.
• Lead & contribute to project meetings.
• Use effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken English.
• Capable of managing and coordinating with third parties and end users.
• Third level qualification in engineering, higher diploma, or honours bachelor’s degree (NFQ level 8+).
• Ability to travel to site for client meetings, surveys, periods of installation and commissioning.
• Ability to live and travel in the EU.
• Full driving licence.
