Our client is a highly reputable well-known food company seeking an NPD Manager to lead development and agenda baked goods. Dublin West. Salary: €60K plus benefits.
Develop strategic and creative winning products for multiple baked goods concepts/categories
Positively influence the creative process offering ideas and proposals based on Consumer Insights and Trends.
Researching of domestic and international markets for product ideas that could be adapted to the brand
Bake products in the NPD kitchen where appropriate, then launch them on the main production lines, ensuring that the recipes and processes are optimised.
Develop and refine specifications for new and/or existing products.
Provide technical expertise for products in development, new or improvement of existing.
Responsible for resolution of technical issues that arise during the development, production, operational, or product performance.
Responsible for functional development of all new/renovated products including costing, quality and technical
Planning, execution, and evaluation of projects while maintaining food safety and regulatory requirements specific to baked goods development.
Successfully deliver every facet of the new product development and product innovation briefs including the product (taste, texture, appearance, colour, moisture, shelflife etc), the process and the packaging
Work closely with Operations, Procurement and Brand Marketing in communication of technical information related to new product test program.
Nutritional analysis and calculations with Quality and Technical.
Co-Create product development ideations for individual brand tastings
Consult and inform stakeholders in the development process as appropriate to include operations, commercial, quality, marketing, administration etc. and feedback learnings.
Work closely with the Customer team to launch new products and renovation with Distributors and Retailers to maximise success.
Support efficient production, launch/relaunch to market maximising sales growth and adding to the Company’s bottom line.
Work with Procurement to ensure the best ‘Buy’ possible is obtained through partnership with existing/new ingredient suppliers.
Budget of recipe costings and profitability analysis
Master Baker with strong bakery category knowledge
Excellent quality and technical expertise in quality and technical
Can work autonomously with very good business acumen
