Membership Development Manager / Support Services
Our client is a highly reputable professional support services provider based in the Dublin South Central area. They provide their members with expert advice plus a range of related advisory services. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a Membership Manager to identify strategic targets and further develop their organisation’s expansion plans. They have an Island of Ireland focus and currently have in the region of 15,000 professional members. Salary: Circa €55K-€60K plus bonus potential and benefits.
The purpose of this strategic role is to devise and implement an organisational plan to develop and manage their membership.
Key aspects of the role include:
Review and develop the organisation’s membership. In particular, ensure retention of existing members through ongoing relevant communication and engagement.
Proactively research membership opportunities and develop a pipeline of potential members within targeted business sectors.
Prepare annual plans and budgets to support the membership programme and review membership database.
Regularly update senior colleagues concerning membership development activity. Prepare clear and concise membership reports as required.
Analyse and report on cost/benefit of all membership activities, providing a business case justification as necessary.
Liaise closely with all teams within the organisation to ensure that all membership activities/events are run within the overall schedule of events and with appropriate involvement.
The Successful Candidate – Key Criteria – Qualifications, Experience and Skillset
A third level qualification
Excellent business management skills with a proven ability to achieve results to a consistent high standard.
Ideally possess experience in successfully developing and implementing membership programmes of activity and business plans to recruit, engage, inspire, and retain members.
An appreciation of business networking and strategic business development capability including pipeline development and management.
A proven ability to work on collaborative projects to deliver results on target, on own initiative and as part of an effective team.
Working knowledge of budgets and experience of reporting financial performance against targets. Ideally experience of working with CRMs software and use of data analytics.
Sound decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills. Clear, impactful and engagement skills.
