Our client, a leading ERP and Analytics Consultancy, is passionate about the Support they can delivery for their customers. They continually invest in their people and technology to enable this, and are keen to have strong team members shape and drive their future growth. The are currently looking for a Senior Consultant in the Cognos TM1 – FP&A space to join their Analytics team. This is a new role due to the continued growth of the business.

The Role:

• Develop close relationships with executives and managers in client’s IT and finance departments.
• Mobilising and leading significant Financial Planning and Performance Management projects, with responsibility for the successful delivery of client outcomes.
• Carry out functional and business analysis of client requirements for data modelling, and analysis & reporting solutions.
• Produce functional requirements documents for delivery of client solutions within the IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Cognos Disclosure Management (CDM) software suite.
• Lead development of BPM Client solutions and propositions, including embedding these within technology applications.
• Coordinate end to end project delivery across multiple systems and resources, providing direction and leadership to the Project Management Office (PMO) and to the delivery team.
• Support implementations with product development and data modelling, at a level that enables a deeper understanding of the data flows and business rules.
• Drive the customer success story during post-delivery by providing adoption support and supporting change management.
• Assist with goal development and coaching of staff to enable the growth of the junior team members within the BPM practice.
• Build and leverage both internal and external relationships to support sales and practice directors in driving business development and sales activities.
• Lead proposal development, client presentations, etc.
• Lead the development of best in class pre-sales demo assets
• Support the development of processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business.
• Contribute to the design of internally generated solutions that are developed by the BPM practice.
• Contribute to the internal development of our practice through participation in areas such as business development, training, methodology and toolkit development, and recruiting
• Actively contribute to technological developments within the Business Performance Management space, including development of new tools

The Person:

• CIMA, ACCA, Finance Degree or similar
• 5+ years’ experience working with clients in the areas of FP&A and/or Finance Transformations in small and enterprise companies in a variety of industries.
• Experience in Retail and Financial Services industries would be an advantage.
• Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Cognos Disclosure Management (CDM) software suite a great advantage
• Ability to translate data requirements within OLAP and relational data bases.
• Ability to use financial data to tell a story to executives.
• Drive business report design including trends and Performance Indicators, mixing functional and cosmetic design to aid in decision making.
• Ability to learn new software related to the BPM service offering and drive these related offerings to prospects and existing customers.
• Proven ability to work independently or lead a team as required.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities.
• Ability to communicate financial and technical concepts both written and verbally, and mentor others.
• Convert a client’s requirements into a functional specification
• Convert the functional specification into a high-level design document.
