Field Service Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

Our clients, a world leader in automated packaging machinery serving a range of industries including Food, Pharma and Medical Device, are looking to recruit a Field based Maintenance Technician to join their team on engineers.

The role:

You will provide a full range of technical support services to Customers – including installation, service, repair, overhaul, upgrade, modification and training.

These customers as based throughout Ireland, so there will be an amount of travel involved, as well as some nights away.

There is also some weekend working, and some on-call.

The person:

Having ideally served a recognised Electrical/ Electronics’ apprenticeship, you will have relevant qualifications and a background in the service and maintenance of manufacturing or packaging equipment. With a good mechanical aptitude and detailed knowledge of electrical fault-finding, you will be able to read electrical and pneumatic drawings, and preferably be experienced in, and have knowledge of, packaging machinery (specifically IPC, PC and MC controls and Servo and AC drives). Experience in Robotic systems or Thermoforming would be a big advantage.  However, comprehensive training on the full range of company equipment will be provided.

A self-motivated and conscientious individual who is dedicated to delivering a first class customer service, you will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules. You will also be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.  Flexibility towards working hours is key as you will be required to work occasional weekends, early starts and late finishes.
