Field Service Engineer Manufacturing 

Our client is one of the largest suppliers of process technology for the Dairy, Beverage and other industries, are currently recruiting a Service Technician.

The main area of work will be within the Beverage, Dairy & Pharmaceutical sectors servicing various mechanical equipment within Manufacturing environments. The role requires travel throughout Ireland, and will involve staying way overnight. 

The Person:

• The ideal candidate should have a trade or 3rd level qualification with past experience in mechanical maintenance activities
• Ability to read and understand plant documentation
• Should have formal H&S training & experience of typical maintenance H&S requirements (RAMS, LOTO)
• Must have a full drivers licence and be willing to travel, primarily in Ireland.
• The candidate will work on projects that necessitate overnights away from home
• Proficient in Office software – Word & Excel

The following would be an advantage

• Good knowledge of liquid processing equipment (valves / pumps)
• Knowledge of High Pressure Pumps (HPP)
• Knowledge of Homogenisers
• Knowledge of filter plants
• Basic electrical / instrumentation

Skills And Characteristics

• Trade or 3rd level qualification in relevant discipline
• Ability to communicate well with others under time pressure
• Can manage information and documentation effectively
• Ability to work as part of a team but also as an individual when required
• Be able to liaise with customers in a professional manner.
• Self-starter
• Hardworking and flexible
