Facilities & Maintenance Planning Engineer

Our clients, a large multi-national are looking to recruit an experience Engineer to support their Civils and Facilities Manager in a varied and interesting role. This role will be responsible for planning of Maintenance and Capital Projects for the business, as part of a team.

The Role:

• Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
• Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
• Determining facility and equipment specifications and work instructions
• Developing standard procedures for rectification of common defects
• Managing his Facilities Equipment technicians’ team: Payroll, absence, annual interview, organisations, tools, planning, etc.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
• To review and adapt the annual maintenance plan of those asset.
• To maintain asset as specified in maintenance procedures, related standards and in accordance with specified company Quality and Health and Safety Procedures
• To assist and support the Civils and Facilities Manager in insuring optimum team performance on a 24/7 basis, to include taking responsibility for the team in the absence of the Facilities Team Leader or Civils and Facilities Manager.
• To assist in planning and organising of maintenance activities.
• To undertake any other duties as specified by the Civils Supervisor or Track Manager
• To actively participate in the reduction of Deviations from Standard reported each month on Health, Safety or Environmental Grounds, as per Transdev’s procedures.
• Analysing project costs and preparing budgets
• Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
• Investigate asset defects reported by production teams and engineering surveys arising from maintenance examinations.
• Gathering and analysing data, blueprints, and reports. Preparing reports and compliance documentation.

The Person:

• Bachelor’s (Level 8) degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MMS, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Project management skills.
• Full Driving Licence
• Working knowledge and experience of Infrastructure maintenance plans.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a Team.
