Energy, Environmental & Sustainability Manager        

Our clients, a multi-national Transport business are looking for an experienced Energy, Environmental and Quality manager to join their management team.

The role is to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the highest levels of Energy & environmental performance and quality management.

Duties:

• Developing industry leading Environmental, Quality and Energy Management Systems that achieve and retain accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 respectively throughout the Operating Period.
• Ensuring the Environmental Management System is at all times compliant with relevant national and EU environmental legislation and contractual requirements
• Ensuring the Energy Management System is at all times compliant with relevant energy legislation and contractual requirements.
• Ensuring the Quality Management System is at all times compliant with relevant energy legislation and contractual requirements.
• Providing competent, timely advice and assistance on environmental, sustainability and energy related matters and issues to management, staff, contractors and stakeholders.
• Liaising with the Authority, and other stakeholders on environmental, sustainability and energy management matters.
• Daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting of energy consumption
• Recording, investigating and closing out environmental incidents and complaints from the public.
• Leading internal audit of compliance of all ISO accreditations.

The Person:

• A degree or higher degree qualification being desirable.
• Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management (or similar).
• Certificate of Quality Management (or similar) & a relevant qualification in environmental/quality auditing.
• Significant leadership experience and proven ability to deliver outstanding standards of environmental and quality management and leadership
• 6 years’ experience in an environmental/quality position
• Strong leadership, influencing and communications skills. Ability to engage with staff, customers and stakeholders at all levels in order to understand their concerns and identify innovative solutions and opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to demonstrate competent knowledge of environmental and quality management systems.
• Superb attention to detail and drive to deliver to the highest standards.
