Editor – Munster/Leinster

Our client is a highly reputable media group. Both their printed publications plus their digital presence are well-established within the Irish farming community. They are now seeking a Editor who will play a key role in delivering both the digital and print coverage to the agricultural community. Flexible working options will be considered to facilitate partially remote working. This is a stable, permanent position with an excellent package of benefits.  Salary will be negotiable all doe.

The Role:

• Provide strategic editorial direction to both the printed and digital platforms
• Responsible for the overall planning and producing digital / print coverage
• Proactively identify opportunities to further boost readership – both online and in printed editions
• Investigate & identify critical news, data plus related analysis
• Review ongoing farming sector activities, community events, and strategic developments within the agri industry
• Ensure fair and accurate journalistic reporting to public

 The Candidate:

• Display enthusiasm and a desire to further build / expand a successful media brand
• Excellent editorial experience required
• An interest of the farming / agricultural sector desirable but not essential
• Previous experience of editorial activity – ideally both in print and online
• Digital publishing experience with ability to strategically develop current offering
• Demonstrate capability to both manage and grow a media business
• Ideally possess a relevant qualification
