Database Administrator with Salesforce experience 

Our client, and not for profit organisation in with a head office in Dublin 16, is seeking a Database Administrator to manage multiple databases and all operations relating to the storing, processing and security of data across the organisation.  The role will include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.

They are open to a flexible working arrangement, including the reduced working hours. (ie a 3 days week, if that suits the candidate)

The Role:

• Ensure data remains consistent across the database
• Ensure data is clearly defined
• Ensure users access data concurrently, in a form that suits their needs
• Developing and implementing backup and recovery plans to ensure the integrity and availability of data in case of system failures, disasters, or other emergencies.

• Assisting with the role out of new systems and Databases
• Planning and executing data migration tasks when transitioning to a new database system or upgrading existing systems.

The Candidate:

• Third level IT or Database / Data Management qualification
• A minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience of Salesforce
• Familiarity with data manipulation and database design
• Experience in a dynamic work environment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent Communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
• Flexibility and adaptability
• The ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Business awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT
• A willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology
• An understanding of information legislation, such as the GDPR Data Protection Act.
• Full Clean drivers Licence
