Data Governance Manager
Our client, a city centre based state body, are looking for someone with an interest in organising data to facilitate robust analysis and evidence-based decision making in a regulatory context. The person must have data governance experience and expertise. The person must have high levels of personal motivation and be an effective communicator capable of networking and delivering in a cross-organisational setting. The environment is multi-disciplinary where economists, engineers, lawyers, accountants and other technical experts work collaboratively across a diverse range of substantive and operational areas.
The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for continued establishment of a data governance programme, supporting the data warehouse, other core systems and datasets and implementing best practice across the organisation. The Data Governance Manager will be a member of the Data Governance Steering Group and responsibilities will be expected to be developed and finalised over time but will include the following under the three key pillars set out below:
o Providing progress reports to the Steering Group and the Leadership Team;
o Overseeing periodic updates to the data governance roadmap.
o Providing advice to project teams on data governance best practice and on the implementation of data governance policies; and,
o Facilitating workshops and producing draft documentation.
