Chief Operating Officer COO

Our clients are an outstandingly successful Professional services business, with offices in Dublin City Centre. They are now seeking an energetic COO (Chief Operating Officer) who will work very closely with their Managing Partner and Management team. This is an exciting role for a senior executive seeking a ‘new and rewarding challenge’ in a growing business.

The Role

• Management and control of the firms Accounting and Finance function, including
  • • Management  and Development of Accounting and Finance team
    • Managing company Cash flow
    • Development and preparation of Monthly/Quarterly reporting pack
    • Incorporating best practice approaches to KPIs, benchmarking and performance management systems
    • Ensuring reporting systems/mgt accounts/staff resource meet business requirements
• Being part of the Executive Management team, and bringing Financial input to strategic decisions in relation to the company’s ongoing and future success
• This role will also have management responsibility for all support functions including IT, HR, Facilities and Support Services. The Heads of each of these departments will report to the COO
• Dealing and negotiating with external parties such as Auditors, Banks, Insurers etc.
• Management of all corporate reporting processes

The Candidate:

• The candidate will have a Professional Accounting Qualification, an MBA or similar
• Experience in the Professional Services or Legal Sector a distinct advantage
• A proven capability to operate at a strategic level and possessing the in-depth skills and expertise to promote and manage the day-to-day operations.
• Leadership skill and ability plus change management experience.
• Ability to manage up as well as down.
• Capable of generating respect and trust from staff, Partners and key stakeholders.
• Sets and executes high performance standards
• Demonstrates an energetic, self motivated and flexible approach in all matters
