Capital Projects Regulatory Manager

Our clients, a large government agency, are looking to recruit an experienced candidate to managing the relationship between the planning and infrastructure teams and the management & Regulatory  teams who oversee capital project expenditure.

The Capital Regulatory Manager’s broader role includes preparing board papers, senior management reports and regulatory treatment strategies around project approvals and guidance regulatory process and any decisions made throughout their life cycle.

The Role:

• Lead, manage and own the Regulatory approval / reporting process and ongoing associated tasks
• Provide regulatory treatment strategies for project remuneration and provide advice to key functions
• Engage, consult, and develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the preparation of submissions
• Coordinate and prepare all necessary reports and presentations documentation
• Assist in the preparation of Board, and Senor Team project reports and presentations
• Contribute to the overall development, execution and success of the Bodies vision and goals

The Person:

• A minimum of five years post-graduate experience in a relevant field
• Previous cost control, regulation, or project management experience
• Comprehensive understanding of capital development plans within a regulated environment
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Experience in managing key business and stakeholder relationships to deliver optimal outcomes
• Excellent report writing and presentation slide skills, with impeccable attention to detail and proven ability to deliver high-quality output to challenging timelines and the ability to summarise concisely
• Proficient in word, excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities
• Demonstrated ability in leading complex projects to successful on-scope, on-budget and on-time completion
• Ability to work in a challenging environment both on own initiative and as part of a team
