Accounts Payable D24 Permanent

Our client is based in D24 and is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s payables process efficiently and accurately. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounts payable procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

Hours are 9 – 5pm Mon – Thursday and 9 – 2pm each Friday.  Hybrid options (2 days wfh and 3 from office)

Salary €35 – €45k plus pension and health care package.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing: Accurately process a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring that all invoices are correctly coded, approved, and entered into the accounting system in a timely manner.
2. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely payment.
3. Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in accordance with established payment schedules.
4. Expense Reimbursements: Review and process employee expense reports, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies.
5. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate accounting records.
6. Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process by preparing accruals, reconciling accounts payable sub-ledgers, and providing necessary reports and documentation.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency, making recommendations for process enhancements.
9. Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on accounts payable metrics, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and payment forecasts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of  4 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
