Project Manager / Electrical

Our client is a global technical electrification company who are experts in their field. Dublin 18. Some travel required. Salary: €60K – €70K all doe plus car, bonus and benefits.

The role:

Responsible for the planning, organising and management of all aspects associated with service projects and ensuring successful execution of projects managing full life cycle.

The Role: 

• Plan, organise and manage all aspects associated with service projects.
• Implement procedures for order set up, equipment ordering/expediting, progress payments, project insurances, project meetings, site set-up, sub-contractor payments, variation orders, invoicing etc.
• Understand and utilise all technical documents and project programme tools associated with projects.
• Carry out risk assessments and Safety Observational Tours.
• Ensure quality assurance policies and procedures are followed.
• Hold regular project meetings and produce accurate project reports.
• Co-ordinate Factory Acceptance Tests and attend same.
• Co-ordinate site civil work, equipment installation and commissioning.
• Represent company in all correspondence and meetings with the customer / sub-contractor.
• Coordinate Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental policies with the responsible site personnel.
• Ensure all activities are properly coordinated with the clients programme.
• Compile project files and handover files on project completion.
• Ensure projects are executed within the established time and estimated costs.
• Provide leadership in the application of Health, Safety & Environment policy in all aspects of project delivery.

The Candidate:

• Electrical Trade Cert or Engineering Diploma/Degree; PM qualification desirable.
• Electrical background essential; Proven Project Management experience
• Excellent organisational, co-ordination, reporting and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills,
• Strong focus on managing customer relationships.
• Highly numerate and detail conscious.
• Excellent admin and technical skills – (MS Office, Lotus Notes, SAP, MS Project, CAD etc.)
• Good knowledge of Project scheduling, planning, estimation, procurement & cost control.
• Relevant experience in installation of MV/HV Substations including Switchgears, Control & Protection Panels, LV Panels, Cabling etc.,
