Part Qualified Accountant- Dublin 12

Our clients, a large business involved in the Automotive sector, are looking to recruit an experienced Part Qualified Accountant to join their Head Office Finance Team. This role will report to, and support, the Financial Director.

The Role:

• Assisting in the completion of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with the analysis of monthly P&L activity and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Updating and reconciling nominal ledger accounts.
• Monthly reconciliations of intercompany accounts.
• Preparation of the Bi-monthly VAT return and assisting in filing the return on ROS.
• Assisting in forecasting and analyzing monthly and yearly sales, direct costs and overheads.
• Assisting in planning, overseeing and finalizing monthly and yearly stock counts.
• Liaising with external Auditors in interim and yearly audits.

• Preparation of bank reconciliations for the Group.

• Preparation of weekly and monthly stock and sales reports.
• Assist in the calculation of the weekly/monthly payroll run.
• Assisting in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions.
• Preparing monthly VIES and Intrastat returns.

• Liaising with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial results to be presented to the board on a bi—monthly basis.
• Cash and Debtors control.

• Participating in various other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business.

The Person:

• Be a part qualified accountant or someone wishing to pursue the qualification.

• Have proven experience in preparation of monthly accounts.
• Possess strong administrative and IT skills.
• Be self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
• Be efficient, with good attention to detail.
• Have a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Be flexible in their approach to work.
• Exhibit strong analytical and communication skills.
• Previous motor industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
