Group Learning & Development Manager / Dublin West

Our client is a global healthcare company expanding in Ireland.  Seeking a Group Learning & Development Manager to join their HR team and create and lead the Training Academy.  Salary:  €65K – €75K, 10% bonus and benefits.

The Role:

• Build and maintain the appropriate levels of relationship with partners to maintain excellent service levels and performance results.
• Work with relevant internal teams to identify and select new organizational development providers, establish contracts and on-board appropriately
• Understand the business priorities, leverage internal and external resources to implement learning programmes and key initiatives
• Proactively collaborate with Group stakeholders to diagnose learning and organizational capability development needs and design, develop and deploy a portfolio of development strategies and initiatives to support business needs
• Design, lead and execute talent, leadership and management development strategies and programs that support the delivery of our People Strategy
• Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, training providers and bodies establishing requirement for external solutions to ensure our plans are future focused and cost effective
• Develop appropriate metrics that evaluate and report on the impact of organizational development and learning programs
• Design and deliver innovative organizational capability interventions through embracing innovative technology and practices. Leverage interactive technologies to engage and enhance learning, including Learning management system, eLearning tools and collaboration platforms
• Lead & manage internal trainers across the group to ensure a collaborative approach for the group.
• Work closely with our clinical teams on delivery of effective training programmes.
• Lead on all health & safety training programmes across the group
• Work with internal communications to ensure all organizational capability initiatives are communicated effectively to employees
• Forecast and manage the training budget effectively across all nursing homes,

The Candidate:

• Minimum of a third level qualification in a relevant area.
• Experience in Health & Safety programme delivery.
• Experience working in healthcare would be ideal.
• A good understanding of clinical training needs requirements.
• Very strong previous experience in a similar role focused on learning and development, talent management or organizational development
• Strong written and verbal communication is essential
• Results-focused with strong analytical skills to include metric reporting.
• Be self-motivated, committed and consistently striving to perform at a high level.
• Ability to work on own initiative and work collaboratively with other team members
• Proven ability to work to deadlines
