Communications Manager / Dublin

Our client is a very well established FMCG company seeking a Communications and Philanthropy Manager for a 9-12 month contract.  Salary: €65K with completion bonus.

The Role:

Internal Communications

• Organise and compare market business updates
• Support the management team on execution of internal communications initiatives
• Ad hoc collaboration with/support for cross functional colleagues with communications
• Preparation of internal FAQ’s/updates on key business issues
• Market point of contact for the Workplace by Facebook platform
• Market point of contact for brand guidelines
• Cascade/localisation of HQ-led communications programmes (e.g Your Voice)
• Local Change Agent for GBS transition project

External Communications

• Daily media monitoring and briefing management as required on relevant topics
• Preparing and responding to requests from media for comment
• Identifying opportunities for proactive media engagement
• Development of trade media adverts and drafting of editorial to educate on regulatory change
• Development of sales team collateral/digital assets to educate customers on regulatory change
• Drafting of letters to trade as required on behalf of Sales Director
• Managing end to end process of producing new customer price lists
• Review/drafting of responses to consumer complaints

Community Investment

• Managing the annual charitable budget
• Ensuring all support is in line with strict corporate guidelines
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on annual reporting requirements
• Working closely with the Ireland Funds on project renewals/approvals/conclusions
• When possible, delivery of programme of volunteering and employee engagement opportunities
• Participation in the Community Care Committee
• Supporting cross functional colleagues to arrange team volunteering events
• Monitoring internal impact through annual employee surveys

The Candidate:

• Third level degree in Communications, Journalism or closely related
• Excellent writing skills for presentations, reports and external communications
• Crisis communications experience desirable
• Comfortable understanding with PR, Media and Politics
• Excellent MS Office
