Our client, part of a multi-national form, are looking to recruit an Accountant to assist with the role of new Accounting / ERP package, as well as supporting their Month End processes. This role is initially offered on a 1 year contract.

The Role:

Responsible for supporting the Head of Finance with the implementation of Navision across the Irish business. This will involve project managing and driving the integration through the planning stage to the implementation and post implementation stages. Work closely with the finance team when there are no further short term deliverables on the integration project.

• Work closely with the third party development team to prepare a scoping plan for each individual Navision roll out within the group.
• Make recommendations on improvements to the scoping plan, and identify risks and recommend mitigations throughout the project.
• Prepare a training and testing plan for each individual integration. This includes a communication plan to ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared for roll out.
• Assign timelines to each part of the rollout and ensure these deadlines are achieved.
• Work closely with the group finance team to ensure an effective post integration plan is in place to ensure a seamless transition from the old ERP system to Navision
• Ensure that the implementation is in line with the supporting governance framework
• Manage the project team, software and hardware suppliers along with internal and external stakeholder relationships to deliver the ERP project in full, on time and to budget
• Assist preparation monthly management accounts to include preparation and posting of GL Journals, Accruals and Prepayments, Bank and General Ledger reconciliations
• Month end close and delivery in accordance with agreed group deadlines
• Assist and provide back up for other tasks across the team
• Perform ad hoc duties as may be required
• Participation in annual Financial Audit
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

The Person:

• Accountant with significant experience successfully configuring and implementing a ERP project. Experience with Navision a strong advantage.
• Strong project management experience
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability,
• Proven ability to manage and work as part of a team,
• Capable of working on own initiative,
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and presentation skills,
• Ability to set priorities, analyse problems and formalise clear effective solutions
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office
